Sexual Harassment Awareness
Staff working in leisure facilities have the right to work in an environment that is safe, respectful, and free from harassment. However, staff may sometimes experience or witness unwanted behaviours that can create discomfort, distress, and impact wellbeing at work.
Sexual harassment can occur in a variety of settings and may involve inappropriate comments, unwanted attention, physical conduct, or behaviour that creates an intimidating, hostile, or offensive working environment. Understanding how to recognise, prevent, and respond to such behaviour is essential for maintaining a positive workplace culture and protecting the wellbeing of all staff.
This online course aims to provide staff with an understanding of what sexual harassment is, the legislation and responsibilities surrounding sexual harassment, how to recognise unacceptable behaviours, the impact harassment can have on individuals and organisations, and the actions that can be taken to report concerns, support others, and help create a safe and respectful workplace for everyone.

The course has been designed for all staff working within the leisure industry including, lifeguards, receptionists, court monitors, coaches, fitness instructors, personal trainers, sales advisors… the list is endless.
