Description

Mental Health First Aid – 1/2 Day Mental Health Refresher

Why Train in Mental Health?

We all have mental health, just as we all have physical health. Mental ill-health can strike at any time and can affect people from all walks of life.

Although things are improving, stigma still exists around mental ill-health.

When it comes to taking care of our mental health, we are not always confident to know how to support a friend, family member or colleague experiencing a mental health issue, or where to go for support.

1/2 Day Mental Health Refresher

This four-hour Refresher course will enable your Mental Health First Aiders and MHFA Champions to refresh their skills, the same way your physical first aiders do. It is a great way to demonstrate your organisation’s commitment to treating mental health and physical health equally.

This course is delivered online.

  1. Online in one four-hour session, which includes a degree of home learning.

What will I learn?

Learning takes place through live training sessions and self-learning activities.

The four-hour refresher course will support your Mental Health First Aiders and MHFA Champions by:

  • Renewing their skills
  • Updating their knowledge of mental health supports
  • Giving them the chance to practice applying the Mental Health First Aid action plan

Online course format

Online delivery is hosted via teams or zoom.
