Manual Handling Awareness for Managers
Staff in leisure spaces are often required to set up, dismantle, or move heavy or awkward items, such as weights, sports apparatus, or pool covers. Safe techniques are essential to protect them from injuries.
With lifting comes risks, and without proper manual handling, these tasks can lead to injuries, staff absences, and reduced efficiency.
This online course aims to give managers an understanding of legislation around manual handling, what injuries could be caused through improper manual handling, how to assess manual handling activities, along with reducing the risk of injury and what training an employer should put in place.
Course Overview
The course has been designed for managers working within the leisure industry including, duty managers, operations managers, departmental managers, general managers, contract and area managers.
