Lone Working
Staff in leisure facilities may at times be required to work alone, whether opening or closing sites, supervising areas with low occupancy, or carrying out maintenance or cleaning tasks.
Lone working presents unique challenges, and without appropriate controls, it can lead to increased vulnerability in situations such as accidents, medical emergencies, or confrontations with members of the public.
This online course aims to provide staff with an understanding of legislation surrounding lone working within the UK, the potential risks associated with working alone, how to assess lone working situations safely, and the measures that can be put in place to reduce risk and ensure staff remain safe while performing their duties.
Course Overview
The course has been designed for all staff working within the leisure industry including, lifeguards, receptionists, court monitors, coaches, fitness instructors, personal trainers, sales advisors… the list is endless.
