Andy Waters

Health and Safety Manager


Andy has over 20 years of health and safety and quality experience in the leisure and hospitality industry both in the private and public sector.

Away from work Andy enjoys playing rugby and has played for his local club since he was 12.

Andy Whilde

Health and Safety and Quality Manager


Andy joined the leisure industry in 1998 as a part-time lifeguard. Since then he has held a number of diverse roles most of them in local government.

Andy used to play a lot of squash, tennis and lacrosse but spends most of his time now running after his two daughters. It helps to battle the effects of getting old!

Annette Cavanagh

Quest Mystery Visit Co-ordinator


Annette has worked in the leisure industry from Lifeguard to manager before having a break to raise her children. She returned to Quest and mystery visiting which developed to include administration over the last 15 years.

Annette enjoys long walks with her dog. She is also chief menu taster at all of her local restaurants.

Carey James

Head of Operations


Carey started his leisure career in 1986 as a Party Pal! Since then he has worked as a single site DM, through to Manager and on to area/multi-site management before joining the Right Directions ‘on the road’ team.

Carey can often be seen running around a squash court, albeit a bit slower than 10 years ago. He is also kept busy by his two children, especially when the football season is on!

Caroline Constantine

Company Director


After university Caroline got a job as a Duty manager to pay off the student debts. She soon became hooked and then moved around the country working up the ‘Leisure Ladder’. In 2004, along with a colleague set up Right Directions and hasn’t looked back!

Caroline spends most of her weekends and evenings in sports facilities, sneaking to the gym while her kids are swimming or playing badminton. When time allows she loves to get outdoors whether walking or in the garden.

Christine Coppack

Quality Manager


Christine started working in the leisure industry in 1989 with a background in fitness before moving to Operations and Management.

Christine enjoys looking after her grandchildren in her spare time. The rest of her time is usually spent pounding the roads of Hertfordshire. Although a lot slower these days, running is still a great way of getting some fresh air and trying to stay sane.

Crys O'Connell

Admin Support Manager


Crys has a strong background within the leisure industry, in varied settings and roles – from ‘grass roots’ roles such as lifeguard and instructor through to positions in a management, advisory and mentoring capacity. She recently returned to the Right Directions team following a career in the police service.

When not at work Crys can often be found in, on or under the water – swimming, surfing and scuba!

David Constantine

Quest Assessor


Life in the Leisure Industry started in 1982 for David. He progressed through the ranks, working within the public and private sectors. Since breaking away from mainstream employment he has completed over 500 assessments and went on to become a Trainer in Quest.

Away from Quest Assessing David enjoys cross training and photography. He is also a part time taxi driver for his two boys!

Debbie Taylor

Quest Customer Service Manager


Deb’s has over 30 years experience of working in the leisure industry. For the last 10 she ran a large wet and dry side site. She is now enjoying a different challenge working in the Quest team.

Deb enjoys watching football (she is a Tottenham supporter). She also enjoys spending time with her family and going to the gym.

Elaine Bevis

Head of Quality


Elaine has over 30 years’ experience in the leisure industry at all levels, including 14 years at management level. Her specialist knowledge is in health and fitness including GP Referrals, weight management and diabetes.

Elaine has a passion for keeping fit and even after a full day at the office she can be found teaching as a fitness instructor!

Gill Twell

Head of Development


Gill joined the leisure industry in 1985 as a part-time Lifeguard. Since then she has held a diverse range of roles, with the majority working in local government.

Gill is passionate about football and you will find her on a Saturday afternoon supporting the yellow and green canaries.

Graham Magor

Marketing Manager


Graham has over 40 years as a Graphic Designer and has spent the last 22 years jointly running his own Company. He went to art college in Amersham and worked his way through various studios as a junior until he got the chance to get his hands on some Magic Markers (no computers in those days) and started his career designing!

He is married with two children. He has a lifelong enjoyment of walking, karate and skiing.

Helen Meckiffe

Head of Training and Standards


Helen has worked in both Group and Contract Manager roles for some of the industry’s largest operators.

Playing netball is a weekly passion Helen indulges in, to help free her competitive instinct. She also loves walking (and generally spoiling) her dog.

Ian Warren

Health and Safety Manager


Ian has worked across the City of Westminster in a number of roles before becoming one of the founder directors of CCL Leisure. He continued to work in various roles within CCL Leisure before moving into consultancy work.

Ian follows a range of sports but can often be found on the upper tier at Twickenham at all large games working as an Honorary Steward.

Jean Rae

Quest Assessor and Proof Reader


Jean has worked in various posts in leisure throughout her career – latterly Recreation Manager, Angus Council, managing leisure centres in Angus (9 plus school pools and sports halls as well as outdoor recreations and caravan parks).

In her spare time, Jean enjoys the lovely countryside in the Highlands of Scotland and taking photos.

Jimmy Pimblett

Health and Safety and Quality Manager


Jimmy started in the leisure industry 20+ years ago as a lifeguard and has worked all over the country from the Channel Isles in the sunny south to Lancashire in the frozen north in various roles such as an Operations Manager and a Contract Manager.

Jimmy likes nothing better than being in the great outdoors with his family enjoying the natural world!

Kelly Joyce

Quest Account Manager


Kelly joined the company in 2013, after graduating with a degree in Sports Therapy BSc (Hons) from University of Hertfordshire. She is also the First Team Sports Therapist for Hemel Hempstead Town FC in the National League South Division.

Away from work she enjoys watching football and tennis and occasionally making office treats.

Maz Lewis

Quest Administrator


Before kids, Maz worked as a Production Coordinator and Production Manager in TV production. She also works voluntarily on school PTAs, as social rep for Berkhamsted Raiders Football Club and Cricket Club youths sections,

In her spare time, Maz enjoys catching up with friends old and new. Her favourite pastime is walking her dog Otis in the beautiful countryside of the Chilterns.

Michael Tarver

Quest Account and Finance Manager


Michael joined Quest in September 2015 as an administrator. He was quickly moved across to accounts when they realised he was studying for his accountancy exams!

Michael’s passion is football, football and more football. He is a long-time support of the most frustrating club – Watford! He also has a beagle with an aversion to walking but loves chewing.

Michael Twell

Food Safety Manager


Mike worked in the food manufacturer business for over 20 years. He has worked as supply chain manager for major food manufacture, starting in food quality control and working his way up to Supply Manager.

In his spare time Mike enjoys football, skiing, fishing and photography.

Paula Kearney

PA to Caroline Constantine and Quality Administrator


Paula started in Hospitality Management and progressed to a manager of a 32 bedroom hotel, bar and restaurant. She then became General Manager of a 700 children capacity indoor adventure park.

Paula started running six years ago and has gone from not being able to run to the end of the street to running the London Marathon in 2016. She now regularly runs in half marathons and marathon races.

Phil Keith

Development Administrator


Phil has had a lengthy civil service career investigating fraud, bribery, corruption and general corporate misconduct. Took early retirement in 2017 to improve work/life balance.

In his leisure time, Phil enjoys hiking and trekking and likes to combine these with some travelling and adventure!

Russ Cavanagh

Health & Safety and Quality Manager


Russ has over 30 years’ experience in the sport and leisure industry, primarily in senior facility and club management positions before specialising in health and safety. He has worked at all levels in the public and private sectors for large leisure management contractors and private leisure companies.

Russ is passionate about fitness and when he is not working, he will be at the gym, either weight training, spinning or participating in HIIT classes.

Sian Wheeler

Team Support Manager


Prior to joining Right Directions, Sian gained over 25 years operations management and customer service experience in the Media and Education sectors. Following a move out of London to spend more time with her family, Sian has held a number of management positions at Ashridge Business School.

Most of Sian’s spare time is spent out and about with her family and re-learning to ride a bike after a 30-year break which helps burn off the love she has for cooking and eating!

Sue Robertson

Finance Manager


Sue launched her career in Local Government working in the finance, engineering, building control and planning departments. She became the Group Administrator of the council’s leisure management buy-out. Sue has worked for Right Directions since the start of the company.

Sue spends most of her weekends with family and friends and trying to keep up with youngest granddaughter aged 4.

Timothy Briggs

FAC - Health and Safety Co-ordinator


Tim started as a Ride Host at Alton Towers and over the next 11 years he has various roles from Rider Operator and Trainer to Manager and Recruitment. He then moved onto working for a trampoline store as their Health and Safety Manager.

Out of the office, Tim becomes a human climbing frame for his daughter. As a family he enjoys taking the dog for a walk and grabbing the odd cake and coffee.

Tricia Lewis

Standards Co-ordinator


Tricia has worked in the leisure industry for nearly 40 years, 33 of which were for a major leisure management company! She started as a swimming teacher then progressed to Swimming Brand Manager. A change in career started her on the health and safety path!

In her spare time, Tricia enjoys supporting her family and enjoying her garden when she has time.
